The inaugural International Symposium on Engineering Complex Tissues was held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in Drexel University's Behrakis Grand Hall in the Creese Student Center. The day-long event was hosted by the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems (‘BIOMED’) and was sponsored by the Drexel University Office of Faculty Development and Equity. Dr. Kara Spiller, Assistant Professor in BIOMED, along with her spirited team of student volunteers and staff members, organized the symposium and acted as moderator for the day’s presentations and discussions.
The International Symposium on Engineering Complex Tissues provided an opportunity for researchers and innovators to forge global relationships to advance tissue engineering research and to continue building Drexel's 'Global Innovation Partnership' program in the spirit embraced and showcased by Dr. Spiller and her colleagues.
